New explanatory videos

The German Lost Art Foundation has made three more videos available on important topics in the field of provenance research – for free download from this website.

The German Lost Art Foundation has produced a second series of explanatory videos on provenance research topics and made them available in the media library on this website. The animated films provide basic information on the Foundation’s key funding areas, with one video each on “The theft of cultural property by the National Socialists”, “The looting of cultural goods and collections in colonial contexts” and “The looting of cultural property in Soviet occupation zone and GDR”.

The videos can be viewed on the website but they can also be downloaded free of charge and used by institutions such as museums, libraries or archives, enabling the latter to incorporate issues of provenance research in their educational work – e.g. in multimedia guides, exhibitions or websites.

The explanatory videos are published in collaboration with the agency bildbad under the Creative Commons licence “CC BY-NC-ND 4.0” (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International) and are also available with English subtitles.

We look forward to receiving feedback on use of the videos at presse@kulturgutverluste.de
