Continuation of German-Ukrainian data cooperation

On Mon­day, 8 Au­gust 2022, Mr. Ig­or Poronyk, Di­rec­tor of the Odessa Mu­se­um of West­ern and East­ern Art, vis­it­ed the Ger­man Lost Art Foun­da­tion in Magde­burg.

One of the main top­ics of his talks with Prof. Gilbert Lupfer, the Di­rec­tor of the Foun­da­tion, and Dr. Michael Franz, Head of the De­part­ment of Pol­i­cy and Ad­min­is­tra­tion, was the con­tin­u­a­tion of Ger­man-Ukraini­an da­ta co­op­er­a­tion with re­gard to lost art. In this con­nec­tion, Mr. Poronyk of­fered to trans­fer fur­ther da­ta re­lat­ing to cul­tur­al ob­jects at his mu­se­um that were re­moved as a re­sult of the Sec­ond World War and which could be in­clud­ed in the Lost Art database. In ad­di­tion, the meet­ing re­volved around ques­tions of se­cur­ing mu­se­um da­ta.
