Ms Paschen had served as press officer and head of the Communications and Public Relations Department since mid-2016. She successfully established and expanded the media work of the foundation, which was founded in 2015. A highlight of her work was the international conference on the 20th anniversary of the "Washington Principles" in Berlin at the end of 2018, which Freya Paschen conceived, organized, accompanied and followed up with tireless commitment and a wealth of ideas.
With her great joie de vivre, her cheerfulness and her optimism, Freya Paschen had a positive influence on the cooperation in the Foundation. The fact that she cared deeply about togetherness was evident, for example, in the organization of the center team for the Magdeburg company relay race, where she was able to contribute her great passion for running.
Freya Paschen had studied in Bonn and St. Louis, Missouri, and then worked for several theaters, including as an assistant director and dramaturg. Along the way, she came to Magdeburg in 2009, where she was responsible for marketing and communications at Theater Magdeburg. From 2014 to 2016, she was head of public relations and museum education at Magdeburg's museums.
Together with her husband, her friends and everyone who knew and appreciated her, we mourn the loss of Freya Paschen. We will miss her very much and will always remember her.
